September Birchbox Review
Another month, another Birchbox review.
I've been a Birchbox member since 2013. I remember first hearing about the company from a girlfriend. She was raving about all these samples she received and how it's been helping her figure out what brands and beauty products work best for her. It really changed the way she shopped for beauty products because she could try out a sample before investing her money on brands and products.
It took less than 5 minutes for me to become convinced to sign up for Birchbox. The moment I received my first box I was hooked. Now, three years later, I still get just as excited to get my box in the mail to see what kinds of items are featured.
This month at Birchbox, the theme was all about customer appreciation. The team put together a box filled with a variety of items for every part of your routine. We were even able to pick out a sample on our own, and I, of course, picked mascara as my personalized item.
- Klorane's Dry Shampoo
- Milk Makeup Ubame Mascara
- dr. brandt® pores no more® cleanser
- Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer
- LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick
Pretty generic box this month. Good variety of beauty products, but I'll only be using three of the products. That's the Klorane's Dry Shampoo (one of my favorites!), the Milk Makeup Mascara, and the Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer (I'm a sucker for face creams!).
The other items aren't things I generally use. I've actually tried several dr. brandt products in the past and I never see any results. I don't think it's a brand that works very well with my skin (since everyone is so different) so I won't be testing this one out again. The LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick is a very pretty red, but I'm not too keen on wearing very bright red lipstick. I only own one red lipstick and it's a darker maroon color vs. fire hydrant red.
Overall okay box. Looking forward to seeing what next month has to offer. Be sure to send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org and share what you received!
