Ipsy August Glam Bag Review

I can't believe it's August!! This summer really flew by so fast. With only one month left I'm putting together some last minute travel plans to some warm destinations to make the most of it.

My trip to Southern California is coming up in a few weeks and I couldn't be more excited. I get to spend some time with my family, hit up my favorite restaurants, and soak up some much needed sun after a very cool and foggy summer in San Francisco.

This month's Ipsy is filled colorful items to help me prep my skin, nails and makeup routine before, during and after my trip.

The details

My takeaway

This Ipsy Glam Bag was FIRE!!! I have a few girlfriends who also have a subscription and we can't stop talking about how amazing all the products are. Not to mention how cute the princess bag is. What's cool is all of us received a different design on our bags - making our subscription feel even more personalized and unique.

My skin is very sensitive to different types of climates. Going from San Francisco to Southern California will definitely shock my skin since it's going to go from cold and foggy to hot and dry. This Glam Bag contained three different products to help keep my skin intact during my trip. The Secret Garden face masks will be key. I'm planning on using one right before my trip down and then using one when I come back to keep my skin looking hydrated and fresh. What's more is I can use the Organic Surge Perfecting Face Polish to wash my face every morning during my trip to keep my skin glowing. This product is perfect for sensitive skin because it's mad with pure rosemary and lemon essential oils so it's light on the skin.

The rest of the beauty products are all items I use almost on a daily basis and definitely can't get enough of. For those of you who know me personally you know I love changing my nail polish every other day. So I'll be wearing this lavender polish from Ciaté London sometime soon! I'm a big fan of NYX Cosmetics products, so I know this highlighter will be right up my alley. Since I purchased my Beauty Blender last month (I know...I'm super late to the game) I've been using more liquid highlighter and I'm liking it more than powdered highlighter. It feels lighter and makes my makeup look a little more natural. As for the last product, the Rodial Smokey Eye Pen, you can't have too many black eyeliners! I go through black eyeliner very quickly since I use the color most in my makeup routine, so this new pen is something I'll be using a lot.

Overall this is my favorite Ipsy Glam Bag I've ever received! What did you think of this month's bag? Drop me a note at hibitabella@gmail.com and share your thoughts!
