Ipsy June Glam Bag Review
You guys...exactly one week until it's officially summer!!! I don't know about you, but I've definitely been counting down the days. It's finally time to let my hair down, relax and soak up some sun...that is when I'm not at work and if San Francisco blesses us with some warm weather ;)
I know I've been talking about embracing a natural beauty routine this summer and I'm really looking forward to the challenge. Now, that doesn't mean I still won't glam myself up every once in a while...because let's be real, we all need to get dolled up now and again!
It seems like Ipsy knew I was taking on this challenge because my entire bag was filled with the exact products I need to get started. From a curling sea salt hair spray to a natural pink blush and eyeshadow, I was very impressed with these items. Not to mention the makeup bag itself...I mean, how cute is the graffiti bag?!
Ipsy has been on fire the last few months with the products the company is sending its users. This month I received a lot of products from brands I haven't tried before, and one product from a brand I absolutely love (Urban Decay). Let's dig into the details:
- Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray
- Formula X Nail Polish in "Sexy as Hell"
- Japonesque Solid Brush Cleaner
- Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow
- Seraphine Botanicals Happy Hibsicus Blush
I'm seriously loving this Ipsy Glam Bag!! I've already traded the current makeup bag I was using for my purse with this one because it's so edgy. I've already had a few girlfriends swoon over the bag so I know it's a definite winner.
As for the products, I know I'll get a lot of use out of all of them this summer. A few of my favorites that came this month are the Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray and the Japonesque Solid Brush Cleaner.
I have naturally curly/wavy hair and I go through curling spray very quickly and always love using new products. Every hair spray works differently with my curls because of the formulas - some make them very curly, others give it a big wave - so I'm looking forward to seeing how this blends with my hair.
I'm very curious to use the brush cleaner. I'm super excited to have received it because I go through cleaner like crazy, but I typically use a liquid cleaner vs. a solid one. I've read really good reviews online so I'll have to test it out myself this weekend to see how my brushes like it.
Pretty happy with the other products as well. I love Urban Decay eyeshadow and the color is perfectly aligned with my natural makeup look. Same goes for the blush - I actually used it this past weekend and I loved the color. It was the right amount of pink and not too overbearing. As for the nail polish...well...you can't ever go wrong with that! I'm a huge fan of hot pink polish and typically always have it on my toes so this is right up my alley.
Great bag this month, Ipsy! Did you receive something different in your bag? Drop me a note and let me know what you got and what you thought of this month's Glam Bag.
