Ipsy May Glam Bag Review
It's almost summertime! With the days getting longer and the weather getting warmer I'm getting really excited for summer. My favorite part of this season is planning my travel schedule...and I already have some really big plans lined up. I'm heading to Yosemite, Seattle, Capitola and Southern California for some much needed time off :)
However, just because I mentally need a vacation, doesn't mean my beauty routine will be taking some time off! It seems like @ipsy was way ahead of its members by creating the cutest travel bag filled with summer necessities.
This month's package was filled with a variety of different products that are perfect for Summer. Plus, the makeup bag featured this month has a variety of different landmarks on it from around the world so it definitely gets your mind thinking about all the places you want to go and see this season.
- Vera Mona Smudger Eyeshadow Brush
- Épicé International Hydrating Mask
- Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish
- Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow Trio
- IT Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Mini Gel Eyeliner
I'm pretty happy with this Ipsy Glam Bag! I've already dived into using some of the products and I really like them. Over the last few weeks I've used the Pacifica Eyeshadow Trio, the Vera Mona Eyeshadow Brush and the IT Cosmetics Waterproof Gel Eyeliner. Let me be the first to tell you that using all three of those products together are absolutely amazing.
I've said this before and I'll say it again...you can never have too many eyeshadow brushes. I became a huge fan of Vera Mona after receiving one of their brushes a few months ago. The bristles on Vera Mona brushes are very soft and apply the makeup on your skin very well. I used this eyeshadow brush to test out the Pacifica Eyeshadow Trio and I was very pleased with the results.
The Pacifica eyeshadow trio consists of the perfect colors you need for summer - very neutral and minimal - to help embrace your natural beauty. As I discussed in my last post I'm taking on the challenge this summer to be very natural and minimal with my makeup routine and all three colors in this palette are perfect for me to achieve this goal.
The IT Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Mini Gel Eyeliner is hands down one of the best waterproof eyeliners I've used. I have an issue with most eyeliners bleeding on top of and below my eyelids over the course of the day and it's very annoying to constantly have to fix. I used this IT Cosmetics eyeliner to replace my black eyeliner from Mac and I've been very happy with the results. I no longer find my eyeliner bleeding on top of my eyelid or below it - it stays in place all day and the color doesn't fade either. That's a win win in my book!
The only two products I haven't tried yet are the Aurora nail polish and the Épicé International face mask. It's not that I'm not happy with the products, I just haven't had the time to try them out! I've been going to the nail salon to get gel manicures every few weeks for the last few months and I'm not ready to give them up yet, so this polish won't be tried out for a few weeks. I do love the color though - always fun wearing highlighter nail colors in the summer!
As for the Épicé International face mask, I'm waiting to finish a few other face mask products I have before opening this one. I've read reviews on this online and everyone raved about how great the product is so I'm really looking forward to trying it out.
All in all great Glam Bag! All the products featured this month are perfect to use both during my travels and when I'm back home in SF.
